I just watched two new TV ads produced by a group that calls itself "The Competitive Enterprise Institute".

The spots focus "on the alleged global warming crisis and the calls by some environmental groups and politicians for reduced energy use." The tag line (I am not making this up): "C02: they call it pollution - we call it life".
These badly, badly need to be parodied. Oh, so badly.
I'm looking one or more film/video savvy folks who would be interested in collaborating on some kind funny but politically-charged response to this (and I believe it's possible to do both). I am a composer with a fair amount of film/advertising experience under my belt. I'm also generally handy with sound, and have a lot of contacts in local theatre (so I can dig up actors, voice-over folks, etc.).
My initial aims are modest: a short movie we could send around, put up on websites, etc. If it's successful, perhaps we can push for wider distribution, and if we like working together, perhaps we can crank out a few more. WIth election time coming up, there will be a lot of spin that will want to be countered. Let's start talking back.
